Good SEO will help you improve your ranking on the different search engines, this is how you will improve your online visibility and through that to generate more leads.
Here are 12 SEO tips for small businesses:
Keyword Research:
Identify relevant keywords and phrases that potential customers might use to find businesses like yours. Use keyword research tools to discover high-traffic, low-competition keywords that you can target and that you know your audience is using when searching for information.
Long-tail Keywords:
Target long-tail keywords (more specific phrases) as they can be easier to rank for and often have higher conversion rates. Try to think as your audience when searching for those phrases.
High-Quality Content:
Create valuable and engaging content that addresses your audience’s needs and interests, that focus on the problem they experience. Content that your audience finds as valuable and relevant. Regularly update your blog or news section with fresh content, and make sure it is shareable on social media platforms.
Optimize Website:
Ensure your website is user-friendly and optimized for search engines. Use SEO-friendly URLs, include target keywords in page titles, meta descriptions, and content (but don’t overdo it with keyword stuffing).
Local SEO:
If your business serves a specific local area, focus on local SEO. Optimize your Google My Business listing with accurate information, such as address, phone number, business hours, and customer reviews. Make it easier for your audience to find you, connect with you.
Mobile Optimization:
With more people using mobile devices, ensure that your website is mobile-friendly and loads quickly on smartphones and tablets.
Backlinks:
Build high-quality backlinks from reputable websites. Engage in guest blogging, participate in local events, or offer partnerships to earn backlinks to your website.
Avoid Black Hat SEO:
Stay away from unethical SEO practices like buying links or keyword stuffing. These can lead to penalties and harm your website’s rankings and you don’t want that…
Social Media:
Leverage social media platforms to promote your content and engage with your audience. Social signals can indirectly impact SEO. For example, if you use YouTube you want your audience to come through Google search, so focus on getting your videos to appear there.
Site Speed:
Improve your website’s loading speed by optimizing images and choosing a reliable hosting provider. A faster site leads to better user experience and can positively impact SEO, and this way your audience can stay longer duration on your website, because when it’s slow they will leave your website.
Regular Updates:
Don’t neglect your website! Continuously update and refresh your website’s content. Search engines love fresh content, and it shows your business is active and relevant. But not only to them… Also to your audience that will want to keep on coming back and visit your website more times.
Monitor Analytics:
Use tools like Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates. Analyzing data will help you understand what works and what needs improvement. So always look at the numbers!

Which Social Media Platform To Choose?
There are so many social media platforms, some are more populars from the others but how can we know which one to choose? Which social media platforms are right for us?
For that I’ve created my 4K rule:
Know yourself
Get to know yourself, what you like and what not so much. What are you good with and what not so much, for example, are you good with writing or maybe you love the camera or maybe you don’t like the camera and writing is not your thing.
Know your audience
Get to know your audience, learn as much as you can about them. Learn who they are: gender, location, status, age, hobbies but also learn what are their struggles and challenges.
Know your message
Define your key message which focus on the problem and not on the solution. Then decide what is the best way to package your message, is it with videos or written content or maybe audio. What is the best way to package it to suit you and for your audience.
Know the platforms
Learn the different platforms, what are their top feature, what works there and what not so much. Learn what are the benefit of each and every one of the top platforms. For example, Facebook is strong if you work from your personal profile and active on groups, Instagram and TikTok are more about short videos format etc.
Once you learn about yourself and about your audience you can find the right message to focus on, a message which focus on the problem you experienced but found a solution for, the problem your audience is experiencing now and you’ve got the solution they are looking for. From here, once you know the different social media platforms you can find the right ones for your brand, those where your audience spends time in and those who will package the best way your key message in a way that you will do it as best as you can, since it suits your skills.

TikTok users appreciate authenticity and realness. Don’t be afraid to show the human side of your brand, let them get to know you, create personal connection with them because this will help you to build relationships with them and through that you will gain their trust. Create content that is relatable, valuable, insightful and on the same time it can also be entertaining.

Tips to create engaging videos on social media
Are you creating videos for social media?
Video content is more engaging and interactive than text or images. People are more likely to watch a video than read a long article or post. This is why more and more platforms added the option to create short videos, quick and easy to watch with high conversation rate. It started with TikTok, moved to Instagram Reels and later on Facebook Reels, then YouTube Shorts, Pinterest Pin Idea and more.
Videos can help to build trust with your audience by showcasing your product or service, but also by getting to know you and and what are your expertise.
To help you improve engagement from your videos, follow the next 5 tips:
✅ Always start with a hook
Capture the audience’s attention in the first few seconds of the video. Use something that is unexpected or surprising to draw them in. Something that focus on the problem, a teaser for why they should continue watching instead of moving to the next one.
✅ Keep it short and to the point
People have short attention spans, so keep your videos short and focused. Aim for a video length of few seconds to 2 minuets at the top, and this is of course depends on the platform. For TikTok the recommendation is to have a length of not more than 8 seconds and even less.. Instagram and Facebook Reels aim to less than 60 seconds. Decide on the length as per the content you are looking to promote and if you are speaking or if you are using a trendy audio.
✅ Use storytelling
Humans are wired to respond to stories, so use storytelling techniques to engage your audience. Create a narrative that they can relate to or connect with emotionally. Remember that a brand is a story and your message need to create an emotional connection so learn what emotion trigger your audience and use it in the story.
✅ Make it interactive
Encourage your audience to participate in the video by asking questions or incorporating interactive elements. Ask them to comment their answers and use the video to start a discussion with your audience.
✅ End with a call to action
Always end your video with a call to action, such as asking your viewers to visit your website or subscribe to your channel, to save or share your video etc. This will help you convert your audience into followers and even to clients.

Time Management Actionable Tips
When people ask me how could it be that I’m active on more than 10 social media platforms, find time to work and time to rest and have my own personal life, the answer is time management.
As a small business owner, effective time management is crucial to ensure that you can accomplish all the necessary tasks while also maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Here are some time management tips that I use and can help you stay on top of things:
Prioritize your tasks:
Make a list of all the tasks you need to complete and prioritize them based on their importance and urgency. Focus on completing the most important tasks first. You can either write it down in your calendar, or phone note, or just to have it in your head. But most importantly, is not just to make a list of the tasks, but also to follow it!
Set specific goals:
Set clear, specific, and achievable goals for yourself and for your business. This will help you stay focused and motivated. You can set up goals per day, or per week, but make sure that you are checking after if yo accomplished them or not.
Use technology:
There are many tools and apps available that can help you streamline your work processes and save time. Use project management software, time-tracking apps, and automation tools to help you manage your time more efficiently. Especially with social media, if you know that you are going to have a busy week, schedule all your content on the weekend, this way it will look likes you have strong online presence, but also here, make sure you keep on checking for comments and questions, so you can engage with your audience.
Take breaks:
This tip is one of the most important tips you should follow! It is important to take regular breaks throughout the day to recharge and avoid burnout. Step away from your work for a few minutes to clear your mind and refocus. Taking breaks will help you as well to connect back with your creativity, help you see things clearly. And remember, you can outsource almost everything, but you can’t outsource your health, so take care of yourself!
Learn to say no:
This is something I’ve learned the hard way, it took me too many years to learn how to say no, but it is important to do so sometimes. Don’t take on more than you can handle. Be willing to say no to requests that are not essential or that would interfere with your ability to accomplish your goals. My rule for this is that if it’s not in line with my business strategy, I say no cause I want to make sure that I’m moving on the right direction to achieve my goals.
By implementing these time management tips, you can become more productive, achieve your goals, and grow your business while also maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
